It's Never Too Early to Be Thinking About Christmas (People)
My adult debut, Christmas People, is out September 30 and it's part of the Barnes & Noble pre-order sale now!
First thing’s first: It’s absolutely too early to be thinking about Christmas. CVS has to exhaust its supply of heavily discounted Cadbury Mini Eggs and whatever random Russell Stover stuff it has left from Easter, so we’re still traipsing in Resurrected Jesus season — Birthday Jesus can slow his baby roll. (Also, P.S. this is not meant to alienate anyone whose holidays do not feature Jesus, so if he’s not your dude, the above is really just to say we’re still in our Peeps eras and let’s not rush things.)
But yes, I’ve made my triumphant return to this space to announce that I have a new book coming out September 30! And it’s my adult debut! A rom-com, no less! And a holiday rom-com at that.
CHRISTMAS PEOPLE, like this newsletter, is for everyone. And it’s especially for anyone who’s ever played a drinking game while watching a Hallmark Channel holiday film. (If you drink at each appearance of a plaid shirt, a hot cocoa, or a precocious child, you’d best have a designated driver ready.) It’s for the people who look forward to their favorite holiday movies — and the perfect holidays depicted in them — but who have at least one breakdown on their way to celebrating the actual holidays.
Here’s the link to a full description. I hope that it sends up and celebrates the comfort food that Hallmark Channel movies have become for a lot of people.
Excitingly, you can pre-order a copy via the Barnes and Noble pre-order sale going on today through Friday. Use the code PREORDER25 to get 25 percent off CHRISTMAS PEOPLE at BN.com. Pre-orders, as you may know, are hugely helpful to authors and having a healthy pre-order campaign can make a big difference in the support bookstores show to new titles. So, thank you.
Finally, I wanted to include a copy of the letter introducing CHRISTMAS PEOPLE to book sellers and early readers. Hopefully, it gives you a little more insight to the book and makes you as eager as I am for it to arrive on bookstore shelves.

So proud of you. xoxox
